Maybe it's me, I'm getting grumpy old man.
But those terror attacks and all that is a result of long on going conflict, got to me.
Glad CU increased security, would have been better if they did it earlier in 2023, 2024.

We will know more as investigation progresses.
I speculate there are many agitators with ties to Hamas, who "helped" with "peacefull" protests on campuses.

If folks haven’t ever been to Manhattan’s Universities here’s how it works. It’s very densely packed area. I know NYU and Columbia don’t have open campuses. You can’t get on campus without passing through security. That’s how Columbia can be so sure that this evil jerk was never on campus. And I can be so sure that NotJoeBiden is correct and Lerner is wrong.

    Bill, you are wrong
Columbia's Morningside campus has historically been open to the public, with only certain buildings requiring ID card access.
During the 2023–2024 protests, students and outsiders freely accessed the campus, including South Lawn and Hamilton Hall. I visited a friend who is working there.
Security measures were not strict until 2025, when Columbia:
Introduced ID-only access gates around the perimeter.
Banned face coverings (e.g., masks) amid protest-related tensions.
Tightened visitor policies following encampments and police actions.
    2. NYU (New York University):
Urban, Not Closed: NYU is not a gated campus—its buildings are scattered across Greenwich Village. While many buildings require ID access, outdoor areas and sidewalks are public.
Visitors can easily walk around and blend in without going through formal security.
Your claim that "you can’t get on campus without security" was not true in 2023–2024.
