Hello... for a new school offering business diplomas/certificates (non-degree) and not yet accredited do you think the The College Credit Recommendation Service (CCRS) of ACE would be a good option?
How high or low is the acceptance level of ACE recommended courses in RA colleges??

    Greetings.

You question begs the retort: a "good option" for whom? While hardly a panacea, ACE accreditation is certainly better than no accreditation -- for a student who eventually decides to pursue a college degree. On the other hand, at *roughly* $9K a class (when I last made general inquiries, some few years ago) it may not be a good option for you. This is especially true as most of your perspective students, intelligent as they may be, probably have no clue what ACE is or how its accreditation might be helpful. Further, as a nascent school, are you really sure your classes are up to being reviewed for accreditation?

    Good luck!

    Cordially,

While having ACE recommendations for courses improves their acceptability by colleges and universities, they are not guarantees. Each school is free to accept and reject credits from all sources, including those with ACE recommendations. From their website:

Successful completion of such a course or examination results in actual course credit only when the course is accepted toward a degree or certificate at a postsecondary institution. If you have already taken one of the courses or examinations, or plan to take one, you should contact the admissions office at the college you plan to attend to determine the acceptability of the course for academic credit.

The ACE FAQ page: click here

It doesn't appear they offer statistics about how frequently their recommendations are accepted.
