    Hey guys,

I've been reading this forum for a bit now (finally decided to post). Have you guys had trouble finding CLEP testing centers on the collegeboard.com list? Search just about all of New England's schools on the list and they were either not a test center or they were not up and running yet! I did find one in Boston (Bunker Hill Comm. College). I am taking Intro to Psych. and Analyzing and Interpreting Literature. Has anybody taken these? Let me know what you thought of either test. Take care guys.

I took my CLEP exams at the University of Massachusetts - Boston, they have a Testing Center specifically concerned with administering CLEP & other exams. They will also proctor exams for correspondence/online courses for a small fee ($25 about 10 years ago). Ask for the Testing Center at the main number 617-287-5000.

I took the Analyzing & Interpreting Literature exam, and I can honestly say I didn't spend any prep time other than taking a practice exam to gauge my readiness. The test gives you a passage of literature, and then asks questions about it. If you do a lot of reading, the test should be no problem.

BTW, don't overlook DANTES exams. Finding a test center for them is a little tougher, I took mine at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA. Call the LEAD office (800-439-LEAD) for test schedules & study guides.

    Hi Bill,

I sat the Analyzing & Interpreting Literature exam. The exam was a bit tougher than I expected because I had studied the wrong areas, but I did earn an "A" from Excelsior College for my efforts.

Bone up on poetry terms and structure, and you'll do well.

    Good Luck!

I also took the Analyzing & Interpreting Lit test after reviewing the questions in the CLEP guide and with no further studying. I scored in the upper 90%tile (I think 98th %tile). IMO, this is just a long reading comprehension test and should be a breeze for anyone who does a decent amount of reading.

clep website somewhat out of date

The clep website is somewhat out of date when it comes to testing sites. My local state college system has changed sites twice without the website advancing to match either address, and one instate college is listed as a testing site that went out of business two years ago.
    All the best!
