  1. Hey folks-

I've tested out of 9 credit hours so far in about three weeks. I transfered in 60 hours of credit to Excelsior. So that leaves me with 51 to go. People think I'm nuts trying to "CLEP" out of so many classes.

Anyway, I am taking the CLEP Intro to Sociology Dec 28th...from what I hear...that test is pretty much a cake walk.

Now..my plan for January is to try and get 18 credits.

I just took my Humanities test and am pretty well read up on American Literature so I should pass that....then two weeks after that I plan on taking the CLEP Math...I'm not great in Math, but I have the Princeton Study guide and the Instacert...so I feel I can pass that one. Then I have decided to cram hard for one week for the Chemistry exam. I know its very difficult...but my goal was to get 6 credits a month to graduate by August...so if I don't pass its only a week of study and $80. I plan on taking the Natural Sciences two weeks after the Chemistry exam..so that should be good.

I have Instacert and the CLEP College Board book.

I've tried doing a search on this forum of "CLEP Chemistry" exam...but something is wrong and no matches will come up for anything.

If anyone could help me out on my "plan" for January...or on any suggestions of study materials for the American Lit, Math, or Chemistry exams that would be excellent.

    Thank you

    Matt,

First of all, Congratulation...You are hella smart... Anyway, I am going to take American Literature later, and I bought Barron E-z 101 American Literature, and American Literature for Idiot...this book is thick though.

MATH: What kind of math you are taking? College Algebra? College Math, Algebra-Trig? Trig? Calculus or Satistics?

CHEMISTRY: If you need these practice tests, please email me at [email protected] or [email protected] ...If you have anything to share.... I really appreciate!.

You said you are taking both the Chemistry AND the natural science... Is that - in case you don't pass one?... I'm kind of wondering if the 2 duplicate. I think the Natural Science General CLEP is 50% Biology and only 10% Chemistry or chemical elements as they put it... (so maybe it wont duplicate and you could get 12 credits). That then would be great.
