My employer has a tuition reimbursement plan and I would like to take advantage of that and get my MSIS. I am not a programmer and have no plans to become one--I am more on the business side of IT. I manage products and have to interact with programmers in order to get the product launched, so it would be good to be able to have some idea how to better communicate with them. I've looked at Minot State's MSIS and am seriously considering it because of the cost (my employer would cover the entire thing) but I like Drexel's program better because it is geared toward people like myself and is more in-depth. Of course, Drexel's program is a lot more expensive and I would have to pay for more than half of it myself. Drexel's program will also take a lot longer to complete. I'm just looking for some advice as to which one would be better for someone in my situation. Another factor to consider is I live on the east coast so Drexel has a lot of name recognition whereas Minot has none. But I'm not sure that matters because I've been working for 15 years and my BA is from over 20 years ago. Thanks for any advice.

Well, you have to weight between cost and reputation. Which one do you prefer? Do you want to pay some of out of pocket for reputation? Or just State university is good enough for you?

    - Honest I would recommend Drexel University's program in your choices.

Minot State University’s Master of Science in Information Systems program is designed to develop technologically sophisticated business executives who forecast technology needs, develop information systems infrastructures, manage existing systems, and communicate inter-departmentally. This program provides opportunities for graduates to assume greater management responsibilities within their organizations or to be independent consultants who work through virtual business arrangements. I think this will be better option
