I have zero college credits and have been looking into the Big Three but don't see a public administration degree. I want to get a cheap degree as quickly as possible. I currently work for county government and would like a degree to help me get a "creative director" or "user experience manager" type position. Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

A business administration degree will have more flexibility than a public administration degree. You can use a business degree in the public and private sectors. Public administration degrees are mostly just sought after by the government and non-profit organizations.

Charter Oak offers a public administration degree.

Thomas Edison offers a BSBA with a concentration in public administration, but I'm not sure if they offer all of the required public administration courses.

I believe all of the Big Three require you to have a few credits to transfer in before you can apply. You can do that by passing a few CLEP tests to cover courses that you will need anyway, though.

Really? I think that's only for Charter Oak.

I can't find anything on it on Excelsior's website.

I would like to add Patten's self-paced degree programs to this list. If your employer helps foot the bill, they will defer tuition payment. I know that a lot of people love the big 3 (I do, too) but if you like the structure of a degree program but still want to work at your own pace, this could be a good solution for you.
