I need a master's degree that is cheap, accredited, and not to horribly difficult. Not looking for an MBA. I want a program like management/leadership, or organizational leadership, etc. I know I have to do some work, but I am not trying to go to Harvard or Yale, etc. I'd like to be through in less than 2 years if possible, etc. I don't want a college with a horrible and crappy reputation either. I guess your saying good luck at finding all of this stuff. Is there a way to test out of graduate classes, or get life experience credit, etc.?

    You should try this school.

The school will send you this t-shirt so you can proudly show the world what degree you are working on.

If I were you I'd also ask for an embossed gold seal on the diploma. With a Gothic font. In Latin.

I am new to this website people. Give me a break. I just signed up maybe yesterday. Sue me for asking a question. I did not know that it had been asked recently. You are some rather rude people. You can't see it, but I am flipping all of you smart a???? off right about now.

    Yeah. Welcome to you, too.

The criteria you spouted in the original post are all highly subjective. Additionally, many of them require direct experience with particular schools. Since quality and reputation are pretty well correlated, you also present a paradox for others to solve. And then you add a really rude coda once this is pointed out.

Still, you managed to actually ask three questions, so I shall endeavor to answer them.

School recommendation? None. Find one or more, then ask people about it/them.

Testing for graduate credit? Generally, no. However, there are some graduate programs that are competency-based, which will allow you to earn credit without actually attending class. If this distinction is not clear to you, you have some reading and learning to do.

    Life experience graduate credit? No.

Hope this helps. (Well, not really.)

I'm sorry Ann but, you see, we get this sort of question all the time. Somebody wants it to be cheap, easy and fast. How does that equal quality? You see the problem with your post is that it goes directly to the heart of a lot the criticism of distance learning. Where is the quality if it's "easy?" How can it be "fast" and still involve serious learning? The way it comes across is that you want something of value but you don't want to pay for it (the currency being effort, time, and money). You came across as someone that just wants to say they have the degree but they don't really want to learn anything new and certainly don't want to have to do any real work.

So let's say we shoot for a "do-over." Tell us your goals. Give us an idea about your budget and then we can make some recommendations. You made a newbie mistake. It's OK. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. We can help.

OMG, you people are totally wild!!! I love it! I can see this student website is going to be pretty awesome and interesting. All apologies are accepted and please accept mine, etc. I think I have compiled a good list of schools that will be acceptable for grad school. I didn't mean to come across as wanting something for nothing, etc. I read about one college that I am accepted to (contingent on getting the bachelor's degree after I finish these last 2 annoying classes) on a student review website. The students say the school is awesome, and the quality is unbeatable, as well as the ultra-low tuition, etc. They also say the amount of amount of work is epic, and almost un-doable for a person that has a full-time job and family, etc. Those posts scared me so much that I am considering not going to this school. Like you said, a great deal of this stuff is subjective. Maybe I'll get lucky and discover some ancient fossils, or do something major in the world so I can get an honorary doctorate from a prestigious Ivy League school. Then I can call it a day. Don't you just love ACADEMIA.

    Love Ann!

And so it seems that you've answered your own questions. Good for you! Sometimes that's the best thing. Best of luck to you and your endeavors. If you ever get that honorary doctorate be sure to let us know.

However I used "life (work) experience" in writing my two theses - 6 units in each of my masters degrees.

Or a full time tenure track position in a metro area in the US and preferably at a AACSB accredited school with a budget of less than 5K and that can be completed in less than a year at home while watching my favorite soap.
