Yesterday I got an email from Capitol College that may interest some people here. Capitol has a new MSEE program starting in the Spring, and also has MS programs in: Computer Science, Information Architecture, and Network Security. I'm currently a student in the MSCS program, but I've taken electives in both NS and IA. Anyway, here's a copy of the email: Can anyone here comment on the significance of this, if any, other than the school being linked from the IEEE site?
Significance of Being a IEEE Educational Partner Gary asks: "Can anyone here comment on the significance of this, if any, other than the school being linked from the IEEE site?" The significance is tuition discounts for IEEE members when they take Graduate level courses and other qualifying non-credit seminars at the educational partners institutions. Depending upon the level of discount, this could be significant bucks and make an IEEE membership more valuable. Regards, Dick
Thanks, Dick. I've learned that Capitol is now offering a 10% discount on tuition to IEEE members. That's pretty significant over the course of an entire degree (over $1k). I just wish that I could have taken advantage of this! I only need 9 more credits, but it might still save me a few hundred bucks. It can't hurt to try.
