The U.S. Patriot Act has changed the monitor privileges of the government.

Today, the government has the technology to see through walls and listen to your conversations from the outside of your home.

Is Big Brother now a reality with the government database known as "The Matrix" combined with the National Security Administration (NSA) system known as "Echelon?"

It seems the New World Order is proceeding on schedule. Carnivore, Echelon, Patriot Act (US), reading postal mail, warrantless searches, indefinate detention without charges nor trial, cameras that can see through clothing and even walls, shot-to-kill standing orders for the police, registration and eventual illegalization of firearms possession, and all the related "protections" enacted by other governments besides the US of A are making me very nervous. The terrorists have won! Sad, indeed.

If the FBI wants to watch me jerk off in the shower - be my guest.

This reminds me of a case which occured in El Lay. An El Lay PD officer arrested a man for indecent exposure because he was jerking off in a stall in a public restroom. When asked by the arraignment judge how the officer saw the man, the officer stated that he saw him through the cracks in the stall door. Case thrown out - the officer does not have the right to look through the cracks as this makes the officer a peeping tom (a misdemeanor under CA law). I would have been the assbite and asked for citizens arrest of the officer under that provision (it would probably not stick, but it would be on the record)

If all they have to do is watch me shower...

Too bad for them. It isn't exactly looking through walls by the way. It shows what rooms people are in and roughly what size they are. One can do the same thing by watching the lights go on and off at night. For example, if all the lights in my house are on or the doors are hanging partly open you know the kids are home. If the garage door is open and the car gone you know my wife is gone...

    See through walls.

It is more than just turning out lights and watching people leave their homes. They have technology that can see through walls.

This is one of the systems.

I can show you many more that use x-rays for higher resolution. One called "Soldier Vision" has been out for years. However, the websites are disappearing as time passes.

Not as dramatically as most people think.

Here's the actual text of the Patriot Act:

I think that there's a lot of mythology and paranoia out there surrounding this subject.

    Re: See through walls.

That's what I said. It shows fuzzy images and little more. It isn't anything like Superman's x-ray vison. The turning out the lights and leaving home was a joke. Lighten up......

    Sharing

I wouldn't mind the government having so much power if they would share their pictures of Carmen Electra.

A lot of people don't know what is capable with todays technology.

P.S. BTW, I checked into that HELOC, I will probably use it to replace my roof, then later to repipe with copper. Thanks!

Listen everyone! I've seen pictures of Laser in the shower and you know what? Very unremarkable.
Hey Laser - scanned your place for bugs recently?
    :D

No. The government should clean itself up.

What incentive exists, or could exist, for that?

Jack, no cock-roaches here. If you want to see something remarkable look at Paris Hilton.

If they didn't bug me they would have nothing to laugh at.

Actually, listening devices are already in some peoples homes. They are called telephones. The government can hear you if the phone is even hung up. However, this applies to the older phones that are not cordless.
