Typical ad hominem comments from you.

No, those people are not all liars, and no one says they are. But many are connected with a degree mill in Denmark, including you. In your case, it was an upgrade from a previous degree mill. I think that fact should cause you pause and suggests you should recuse yourself from accusing others of ill will.

Assuming it is true, CCU's accreditation by DETC is a very good thing for several reasons.

First, CCU has been operating, for the most part, legitimately for quite awhile. I'm glad to see this recognized.

Second, its students are better served by attending an accredited school, even one with a form of accreditation that is less utile.

Third, CCU has always been the archtype when seeking examples of legitimate-but-unaccredited schools. That seems to be over now. Which school will mill shills hold up as their shining example now?

Fourth, I think this eliminates any discussion about unaccredited DL schools that don't get accreditation. We've seen SCUPS and Century fail, and Southwest and CCU succeed. No more excuses for operations like Kennedy-Western. Accreditation is available to legitimate operations, which K-WU clearly is not.

CCU's accreditation, if true, is indeed a good thing. It is a stick in the eye to degree mill shills. No more excuses. Rushmore, Knightsbridge, and the rest are exposed for what they really are: substandard mills.

Welcome, CCU. Glad to know ye.

Antipodean Bulvonus amid CCU Rejoicing, or, a Bulvon in the CalCoast Shop

Neil: I stand by what I said. That includes my applause for the quality of your dissertation (which I reread on the occasion of your New Year's Honours), as well as my positive comments about CCU. It also includes my calling you, without irony, Dr Hayes.

Dr Levicoff criticized CCU. I'd rather disagree with him than agree with you.

You blame one poster for failing to read what you say on "another channel" and blame me for doing so. You come here with a picture of yourself holding your academic advisor, brag about your recognition by your government, and solicit the praise of people whom you denounce continually on "another channel". Well and good. You were congratulated on your New Year's Honours by many of us here. When you get called on your churlishness you act like a bulvon.*

Now I am going back to the celebration of CCU's success, for that is what it is. To paraphrase an old song, it's not your party and you can pout if you want to.

*You could look it up, my merry gentileman.

Great song by Lesley Gore. I never understood why "I Am Woman," by Helen Reddy, is considered the hallmark song of the women's lib movement.

Gore's hauntingly powerful "You Don't Own Me," is the definitive song of female strength and independence.

Oh well, I like Slim Whitman, so what do I know about music?

Slim's no Zamfir, but he's OK,
But he can't hold a candle to Screamin' Jay.

Don't want to change direction of this thread but who's Screamin' Jay? Is he a Wolfman Jack type?

Zamfir is all right but I like Yanni better.

  8. Well, at this moment, I think that the good university of California Pacific University, is going to took the place of the Best Distance learning unaccredited institution of higher education.

In addition, seriously, they are the most excellent.

  9. California Pacific University = Approved High Quality University

I sense that they without doubt can meet up the DETC policy.

    They are analogous to the well-known drink;

:D “Única en su Clase” :D

    I did. Fitting.

Dr. Hayes posts mean-spirited and utterly inaccurate things on "that other board," yet comes here and posts his accomplishment. Why he seeks approval from the very community he rips elsewhere is beyond me. But so is buying two fake doctorates, so what do I know?*

Is it true that Hayes has no recognized degrees? That would mean his Knightsbridge "doctorate" is icing on a non-existent cake.

How can you tell? Not from BPPVE approval, an agency which also approves Pacific Western and ignores Kennedy-Western

  15. Rich, the State of California no pronounce that California Pacific University is a good - unaccredited university.

Just, look incredibly carefully to your neighborhood, and contemplate who pronounce that California Pacific University is great.

(By the way, BPPVE is a fine State Monitor)

To this purposefully nonsensical and nonresponsive response I can only say, "Go Gamecocks." Good luck with your new football coach.

  18. The Fresh web page of CCU is fine looking and dazzling.

As I said previous, is looks beautiful. Moreover, to the Cerdos and gremlins that no likes the stimulation that CCU is ACCREDITED

    Por favor No fastidien.

Hyperbolic; speaking from outside the program with little or no data.

PLEASE, lets not get into the word "candidate" again... kinda moot now, huh?

Once again... not uncommon for doctoral programs to expect a final project other than a dissertation, as long as it is evaluated by a formal and impartial doctoral committee, impaneled by the university under their authority to grant doctoral degrees as approved by the State of California. You're beating your head against a wall to keep arguing traditional RA.

I've not heard that criticism in the real world except via this channel, and a small group at that (you primarily, and some like minded people). The criticism is all about conformity which seems contradictory in many ways to me. The criticism is noted, however the opinion that really matters is the governmental authority that approves the program and the school (who has formally reviewed the program), and as we have seen from recent events, and data provided on other threads here, California has fostered some innovative educational programs and many accredited schools.

It's not about conformity. You utterly mis-characterize the many years I've been involved in these issues, merely to try to support your point. Why even comment about me or others? Why not examine the ideas and facts instead? Why the ad hominems?

Governmental opinion matters not at all. The academic community's opinion matters, and such a degree would be totally unacceptable at traditional or (accredited) nontraditional schools. It isn't a doctorate.

The most frequent question I get when people find out I hold a Ph.D. is, "What did you do your dissertation on?" Imagine if the answer was, "Well, I didn't do one."
