Once, in a conversation with a friend of mine who was visiting from Brazil (and whose degree and career is not in business), I casually mentioned that one, and only one, Brazilian university had AACSB accreditation. Without batting an eye, my friend simply stated that it would have to be Fundação Getulio Vargas, in Sao Paulo. The fact that he could, among the hundreds, if not thousands of universities in Brazil, pick the right one surprised me. He insisted that it was an easy guess, as the school had a reputation for having the most rigorous business program in the country.
