Can you mock off another good reputation school name? Such as Harvard Institute of Technology, or Cornell College, Oxford Technological University?

Sure - if you don't mind being waist-deep in motions, sanctions, injunctions, cease-and-desist orders etc. etc. etc. That is, unless you've somehow received permission to use a similar name, as appears to have happened with two Ukrainian schools - Taras Shevchenko National University (well-regarded school) and Taras Shevchenko National Open University (Distance Programs) run by the same person who owns ABMS University in Switzerland.

If they LET you, you can do anything. If NOT, you can't. (Somewhat like programming languages and a lot of other things ...)

Wharton College of Business and Technology

Rutgers Institute of Technology (a two-fer, because you can say you went to Rutgers AND RIT!)

And, if you really want to get sued, Leland Stanford Senior University.
