If someone had 30 credits in Education can you receive a degree in education from the big 3? or will it be a liberal arts/ general studies degree?
I don't see Education listed as a major for Excelsior College: https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_College/School_of_Liberal_Arts/Bachelors_Degrees_in_Liberal_Arts I don't know about the other schools.
I recall reading once that education is one of the areas that Excelsior will not post an area of focus in. I don't remember where I read that but it was about two years ago. Best to ask an academic adviser there about it. Education is not among the majors offered in the BA/BA but, the credit can be used as applied professional in the BS Liberal Studies (I know this because I did so).
I don't see education as a major/concentration, so named, at Charter Oak www.charteroak.edu/Prospective/Programs/concentrations.cfm or Thomas Edison www.tesc.edu/665.php either.
>> TESC does have a masters in education if your credits are grad level. At TESC my eduation undergrad credits went into "free electives" which only holds a max of 27 in the BA programs, so I don't think you can use all 30 in the liberal studies.
