Benedictine's internet marketing certificate looks like the perfect program for me. Any thoughts on this school? I'm thinking about giving it a go after I finish up at Liberty. Internet Marketing Courses | Online Marketing Certificate | Benedictine University
I taught there for a while until I had to streamline my resume a bit. The main motivations behind my decision to give up BenU over other schools I was teaching at did not have anything to do with the quality of the school. Pay was decent, but classes in my program were infrequent and did not have many students - so it was not a tough choice for me when I had to prioritize. Not a bad school, not wonderful either. The biggest issues I saw from the faculty side, and it may have just been the program I was teaching in was that students had frequent issues with student services (registrations, transfer credit, financial aid, etc). There seemed to be a couple of different offices that distance students had to deal and these did not seem to speak to each other. Courseware is Angel. The materials in the program I taught in were a little dated. It has been a couple of years since I taught there.
This is so cute. It can't possibly be a coincidence, can it? There is no reason to think that this is anything other than a good school. However, they go out of their way to make it clear that this is a pretty hardcore Catholic school. Hardcore in a way that's different from BC, Notre Dame or even Regis. Again, no problem from my perspective but I'm guessing that you'll want to understand this fully going in. There are other Christian schools that have a hardcore feeling in that they incorporate some of the religiousity into the curriculum. That's fine as far as I'm concerned, you just need to be aware of it upfront.
Looks like it'd be an interesting program, but if I'm reading the website correctly, it sounds rather expensive ... The tuition page: Financial Aid | Benedictine University Online The Internet marketing degree isn't listed (maybe it's new?) but all the other certs are $540/credit hour, so this one is likely the same. The info page about the cert says "The program consists of five, eight-week, four-credit-hour courses." So, five courses would be 20 credit hours, which equals $10,800 for the certificate. For comparison, here's a couple other options to consider ... Thanks for catching that. When I did the math I calculated it times 3 hours. Geez! That definitely changes things for me. USF seems to offer more of the classes I'm looking for.
