What was your backup plan to what you are doing now? I am doing M.B.B.S right now and my backup plan was Home economics.
I guess my backup plan is to not retire as soon as I hit maximum pension, which I currently plan to do.

My wish is to do MBBS. I am from India and I just completed my 12th Standard and I have written my NEET exam too. I do not have any plan. My only aim is to become a doctor and serve my country.
I live in the world of welding. That's my degree and my career. But a number of years ago I bought a big old house and fixed it up nicely. When my job changed I sold my house and moved, making a good profit on the sale. Bought a new house and did it again, making an even bigger profit. At this point I have flipped 7 houses and made money on each of them. This past year I passed a milestone, doing two houses at once, living in one and driving across town to work on the other. My profit margins are big enough that I'm playing with the idea of actually starting my own company specializing in saving old houses. This was never a back-up "plan," it just sort of happened semi-accidentally but it's definitely a serious thing at this point, not just a hobby. Sometimes the ball bounces in funny ways.
