For those interested I came across a BA philosophy at the University of Illinois at Springfield. http://www.uis.edu/philosophy
They advertised in philosophy now, a magazine I subscribe to. They look respecatable and as far as I know they are regionally accredited, though I am not terribly street wise when it comes to US universities.

The University of Illinois at Springfield is regionally accredited by the North Central Association.

Roy: I see you are from Canada. Can you explain for me the accreditation system in Canada? There was a guy over at www.degreeboard.com (in the alt.education.distance portal) who was wondering whether his degree from Open University and Open College of British Columbia www.ola.bc.ca (now Thompson Rivers University) was any good.

    Canadian Universities

I am actually more familiar with the UK education system than that of Canada. However I have two undergrad degrees from Canada both from universities in Ontario. BA from Waterloo and BEd from Brock both are accredited by the Ontario ministry of education.
It is the role of the provincial government's ministry of education to grant universities the power of issuing degrees. Thompson Rivers University (formerly the Open College of BC) is backed by the government of British Columbia thus its degrees etc are legitimate.
You will also probably find that Thompson Rivers is on the register of Commonwealth Universities, though I havn't checked this.
