For a second BA in Communications, what would be the most prestigious school that offer such program by distance learning?
Either American or UK program would be fine with me.

How would you like to define prestige?

Keep in mind that "prestige" comes at a price. These programs are going to be expensive.

My vote would be for Drexel University's BA in Communications with concentration in Corporate Communications and Public Relations.

Well, prestige as "a school that has a more solid and traditional name" than University of Phoenix, for example.

For example, University of London is top school with some great external programs - unfortunately they don't have a communications program.

But something less prestigious as a solid State school would be cool with me too. For example, Empire State College is something that I would consider - but they don't really have a Communications degree (only a Cultural Studies with concentration in Communications).

Drexal is a great school - but around $30K for this degree is expensive (assuming you only have to take the 51 quarter units in communications).

Hikkarubr - What is your first degree in?

My BA is in History from UFPR, a Federal University in Brazil (in Brazil the Federal Universities are the top ones).

But I have been working in the advertising/media field for the last 5 years - I did my BA in History just because I love the subject (and I hope to make some historical documentaries in the near future).

Right now I'm in the USA, doing a MFA in Motion Pictures and Television at Academy of Art University.

Why do I want a second BA if I'll have an MFA in one year?

Well, because I'm not sure if I will be able to stay in the USA (the immigration system is broken here...) and if I'll go back to Brazil that would be important because, for some reason, people there give more value to your undergrad than your grad degree.

So, a second BA in Communications or Media would be a nice addition for my resume.

If I could stay in the USA for certain I would never pursue a second BA, for it doesn't make much sense here.

Consider the B.A. in Communication and Culture from the City University of New York.

Frequently Asked Question: What is the tuition for the Online BA program? (CUNY Online Baccalaureate)

CUNY seems a very good option and very affordable - thanks Whatley.

But the name of the degree is a little odd - "Communication and Culture", not just "Communications" or "Communication" as usual.

CUNY is a well known university in the USA. This communications course looks really nice.
Check with CUNY - you may be able to earn this as a second degree by taking just the 30 unit core since you already have a degree.

OK, well that shouldn't be too hard. Some people don't like U of P just because it's a for-profit school and they don't like all the ads. When you talk to them they don't really know much at all about the school. Still, the bad rep continues.

There are some schools with nice reps within a tiny geographical niche but if you travel 200 miles away then no one has heard of them. Your definition sounds a little bit like saying, the school has prestige if I've heard of it before. I wouldn't really call that prestige but then, that's just me.

Despite all that I've got not just one, but two programs that might satisfy your criteria. Interestingly enough, they're both offered by the same school.
    The University of Montana.

    Good luck
