    Hi Randell:

Graduation was a blast, I probably had one of the best times of my life over the three days we had activities. It has taken about a year to get everything inside the school the way I want it, I call it infrastructure, which is of course more than technology, but does include the technology. We have the faculty I want, who are engaged and great, many new faces on the staff but high quality caring people, we have updated almost the entire curriculum, and have added many new programs but also have about five major new surprises around programs and approvals that are very close to coming out.

Moreover, because of this we have pulled out so much cost we can run specials like the old days at $100 per credit how (yes shameless plug). I think Aspen is back to what made it great in the first place, and I could not be more proud to be associated with it.

I have decided to start posting again (hence more posts from me); however there are some obvious things I cannot respond to or talk about given my position and responsibilities (and honestly some of the rules).

    Are you ABD yet?

It looks like an interesting program and the price is awsome... but there are some exams involved and it seems that the testing centers are all in the US?

    dlady,

I've always found it inspiring to see distance learners coming together for the first time during their graduation commencement. Approximately how many graduates attended the ceremony at Aspen?

Yes I am and my final manuscript is about to be submitted for school review. You may see my CV when I am done and have those letters after my name (PhD). :D (shameless plug for me).

I was really looking into a couple of their programs (the MSTI for one) but they all require recommendations and who would I get them from? I have friends but that's unscrupulous. My boss is one. I can get one from an ex-boss. Where do I get a 3rd one from? *sigh*

    David,

Glad to see that you and Aspen U are doing quite well. When I return to work on Monday I'm going to discuss the pre-pay option with our Faculty Development Coordinator. We have funding available for faculty development through a grant from the American Indian College Fund, but we could stretch that a bit by using Aspen U. Miigwech! (Thanks!)

You can request approval of other proctors beyond those listed. I used a proctor at a Vue test center for my last exam.

...and don't forget to check with the local ministry of education upfront how Detc degrees are evaluated in your country...
