I am considering leaving my current school to go to Ashford College. Does anyone go to this school, or know anything about it? Would like some all around information please.
We have about a skajillion threads on Ashford in the archives, it might be more helpful if you asked a more specific question(s).
Duh!?! Ashford University I asked about Ashford University. Are the graduate classes super tough, does the financial aid office deal fairly, are professors accessible, etc. I am asking regular questions a person would ask if they were considering a school. Does anyone have any feedback on the school? I am talking about the regionally-accredited, online and brick and mortar school Ashford University. Comments/responses please.
I have never taken classes through this school, but I know 2 people who have. Both were transfers from Kaplan, 1 at the undergrad level and the other at the grad level). Both reported to me that the school was comparable to Kaplan, only less expensive. Kaplan isn't exactly known for its rigor. As far as price, there are many schools out their with better reputations and cheaper costs. What are you looking to study?
I love offering advice and opinions. But when someone asks you a question and you respond with: "Duh!?! Ashford University" I'm disinclined to offer you any assistance. I recommend focusing on developing emotional maturity. You can have a Ph.D. from MIT, but if you walk around responding to basic questions with "Duh!" very few people are going to take you seriously.
Yeah, but he'll fit right in at Ashford. When I made the mistake of going with this crap school, I remember professors and other faculty putting out the same type of discourse. I also remember one idiot professor changing my grades and then the joke of a Dean actually trying to defend him... I also remember lighting the Dean up after she had the nerve to send me a "warning" letter AFTER I'd withdrawn and went to a better school. Thing is, she was so inept she didn't even realize I'd withdrawn already, or, maybe she did. Either way, she received a roasting from me that she'll never forget.
