Currently I'm an MBA student and have found the school to be the most organized school I've ever attended and I've attended more than my fair share.

As far as the quality of the instruction I have found it to be rigorous but even handed. Some courses are tougher than others, none have been easy. As far as the faculty and staff are concerned, they are very cooperative and friendly for the most part.

Communication with them is very easy and they are extremely supportive in assisting you in your educational goals however some professors can be more of a stickler than others. The adminstrative staff are simply the best I've ever encountered.

I have a blog if you want to read up on it. (shameless self promotion here)

I had a terrible experienece with the school, and I mean terrible with a capital 'T'. I couldn't get the hell outta there fast enough. Some Professors didn't know/understand the material, then you had a lot of the students turning in 6th grade level papers which means they didn't belong there (many assignments are public there). In one instance a Professor actually made one of those terrible papers a public example of how to get a perfect score. The paper was full of misspellings and ridiculous reasoning. I challenged him on it and he says "I never said the paper was perfect!" I respond "Ummmm, what the heck do you think students will believe when you say a paper THAT horribly written is an example of how to get a perfect score?" That was the beginning of the end for me there, but there is so much more that went on...

As for the Administrative staff... Administration was unhelpful and incompetent. I won't even go into all of the details. The books? They were WAY under-utilized. There was one book for a computer class that I never cracked ONE TIME because it wasn't necessary... but I payed about $100 for it, lol!

At any school you'll find people who have had a good experience and some who have not. Some people are unable to maturally accept this fact however and seem to pee their pants whenever someone has a different take on things.

Ashford University is cheap in price, but just remember that you often times do get what you pay for...
