Re: Pricey That's about middle of the road. You don't find many under 20k for the entire program, period. Plus, ASU is a top-rated school. Crowded, but good.
ASU is usually on the 2nd Tier of B-School rankings, so it's a pretty reputable school. One unique thing about this program is that they've broken the schedule up so that you take only 1 class for 6 weeks and then the next, rather than the customary 2 classes for 12 weeks. For now anyways, I'm down to Indiana, ASU, and Florida for my choices, although that has changed a few times already and probably will change again before I'm ready to apply. Indiana is a top tier school and is much closer to my home in Ohio, so their reputation might have more pull here. I really like ASU's 6-week schedule. And Florida is the cheapest of the 3 while also a tier 2 school. I realize that there are definitely cheaper choices in 3rd tier and "unranked" schools, but my feeling is that if my undergrad degree is going to be from a "no-name" like Excelsior or Charter Oak, having a big name MBA will definitely help on the resume.
This list at MBA Zone with Business Week's rankings has the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business in the 2nd Tier. Not sure if this is current or not.
The 2002 Business Week Rankings Has Florida (Warrington) listed in the 3rd Tier. Personally, I wouldn't get hung up between 2nd and 3rd Tier. However, if that is something you value, Indiana (Kelley) is 1st tier, ASU 2nd tier and Florida 3rd tier. Kelley does require some visits for their program if that is an issue.
