A leading US disease expert says there's 'no doubt in my mind' that vaccinated people are helping spread Delta

Anyone who's not wearing a mask is spreading the disease. The US has been so eager to "get back to normal" that they're making it worse. In much of Europe, mask mandates have NOT ended and Delta is not spreading nearly as fast there. Surprise, surprise.

But we are also getting vaccinated. Don't blame the vaccines, blame the anti-maskers.

The death toll from the Corona virus in the world today (Thursday) crossed the four million .

The world has recorded another dismal milestone, and its possible that the official figures are far lower than the situation on the ground.
Experts believe that the real number of victims from the epidemic is much higher.
Excess mortality figures indicate that poor countries have been hit harder than their official figures say.
Although there has been a decline in the number of deaths, the spread of new strains and inequality in vaccines make it difficult to fight the virus.
More than 600,000 died in the United States, half a million in Brazil and 400,000 in India.

That assumes everyone has it without a test to prove it.

With the long incubation period and the indeterminate side-effects of Delta (this one starts off more like a cold, from what I have heard), you can be even less sure of whether or not you have it than with the original strain. Delta is also more transmissible. So, yes, the unmasked are spreading it. You can't spread something you didn't catch because you were taking proper precautions (like wearing a mask, washing your hands properly, etc.) but you CAN spread something before you know you have it.

It can't for over a year be professed the importance of testing only to invalidate it by making medical diagnoses without testing. Nothing about that is scientific, sorry, it just isn't.

Anyone who is not wearing a mask has the potential to spread it, vaccinated or not. No need to argue over semantics. Although, those who have been vaccinated still have a lower chance of being infected. The vaccines just aren't as effective as we'd hoped against the Delta variant.

The more we allow the virus to spread, the more it will mutate. I went to the grocery store last weekend, and I estimate that 90% of the customers were not wearing masks and about half of the employees weren't wearing masks.

A few fully vaccinated people in Israel died from delta variant.
Not all had suppressed immune system related to organ transplant.

Are vaccinated people are helping spread Delta?

No. Or yes. We'll see what the science says. But the default answer is "no" until shown otherwise with preponderating evidence.

So much less then unvaccinated people but still can spread the virus?

I'm no physician, but that's what it seems to be saying, at least for those in House Pfizer and House Moderna. Doesn't say anything about the others.

    Exactly.

Potential and actuality are two very different things. Long-term data--not short-term reports and panicking each time they're not favorable--is what will ultimately prevail in the end.

Israel has pretty good data on the effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine against the Delta variant. If vaccinated people have become infected, then vaccinated people have become infected. That's the reality. So, yes it's possible to catch and spread the Delta variant if you've been vaccinated with the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines because these cases have been documented.

Pfizer: We'll ask for an FDA emergency approval for a third dose of vaccine The company claims that the vaccine may double the level of antibodies in the body five to ten times to the extent that it is given within 12 months of giving the second dose. The company's request comes against the background of data indicating that when the level of antibodies drops slightly after two doses of vaccine, the protection against the "Delta" strain decreases.

I'm super ill from the vaccine.
I got Pfizer 8 days ago.
Been nauseous, a feeling of drunkenness, my body temperature is completely deregulated, I haven't felt this bad in years.
Hope I will get better soon.
I know there was no other option but I regret having had to have this vaccine.
Especially since I already had Covid and had antibodies.

I'm just scared to admit my vaccination regret openly because of the stigmatisation you could face if you admit it openly.

Then to learn that I could still be infected with Covid is a bummer.
The numbers are also climbing up again here in Belgium. So after summer probably we will be quarantined again.

I hope there will ever come an end to Covid.
    I'm exhausted.

Sorry to hear this. Hope you feel better soon.
Was this reaction after the first or second dose?
These side effects happen within a day or two of getting the vaccine. They are normal signs that your body is building protection and should go away within a few days.

If you aren’t able to get an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, you may still be able to get a different type of COVID-19 vaccine. Get more information for people with allergies.

Thank you. I hope I will get better soon too :-(

This was after my 1st dose.
The 2nd dose is scheduled for 5 August 2021.

The day that I got the vaccine I didn't feel anything except for pain on the place where they had inserted the needle.
That night and the day after is when I started getting so sick.

My body temperature acting all weird. Hot flashes, then suddenly having very cold and feeling chills going through my spine.
Nauseated and not being able to stand some smells and tastes.
A drunken feeling. My sight being troubled.
    Headache. Heavy migraines even.

I can't say that I would do it again if I was given the choice again.

The only reason I got vaccinated is because more and more places refuse people who are not vaccinated and I work in the medical industry where I would face lots of stigma if I opted to forego the vaccine.

I hope the 2nd shot will not be as bad as this one.

A rare side effect that I'm experiencing since I got vaccinated is a heightened feeling of tightness on the chest.

I already had antibodies before I was vaccinated because in March 2020, during the 1st wave, I was affected very badly by Covid.
So I feel like this vaccine on top of that was just overkill.

And now they are even talking about 3rd shots to boost the results.
I feel like this will never end anymore.

This pandemic has killed people both mentally and physically.

The incredibly tiny fraction of vaccinated people that develop the Delta version do spread the virus. That's not an excuse not to get the shots.
