Friends, i wanna know how much time it take to complete MBA (30-39 credits) . Is there any one who have finished course or knows anyone who have completed MBA in minimum duration. Any one from NCU,UoP,Capella,Devry,Drexel,AIU etc.
30-39 semester hour program completion time. A part time student taking only 3 sh per semester in a traditional 2 semester per year program would take 10-12 semesters to complete - 5-6 years. If he did the same in a program with 3 semesters per year (fall - spring - summer) it's only 3-4 years. Taking two 3 sh courses per semester in a 3 semester per year would complete 18 sh per year and this example program in about 2 years. The program I'm in at Webster University offers 5 semesters per year. Fall I & II, Spring I & II, Summer. I'm permitted to take 6 hours max per semester which would max me at 30 sh per year. My curriculum is over 50 sh including pre-requisites I have to take because I don't have a business undergrad. Some programs with 2 regular semesters per year consider 12 sh per semester to be max load. That'd give you 24 hours in a year and adding a summer semester would get you to about 30. Bottom line -- a 30-39 sh program should take just over a year to a year and a half full time or twice as long (2-3 years) part time.
I completed two courses in 3 weeks just recently. I was writing papers every night but it can be done. I am on my tenth class of twelve and I'm trying to finish before the baby gets here. I believe its feasible to complete an NCU MBA in 12 months or less with continued dedication and committment. My wife gets mad because free time is limited. Again, it can be done. BAMA
There are several accelerated MBA programs that run 12 months. I believe Liberty Univesity and Bellevue University offer them. I think Fort Hays might have one as well. Pug
If you use the search function I believe you will find a couple of people completing the NCU MBA in 9 months. Its possible but I'd have to say that one would have to work everyday for that 9 months on course work and it would be a very stressful 9 months. Even 12 months is stressful. I myself started July of 2005 and will finish around December of 2006, roughly 17 months. Thats not too bad considering I could have taken more classes at once at the beginning instead of now, but oh well. BAMA
