    This sounds more like ebola. Ebola's efficacy as a pandemic is reduced greatly by the fact that it kills its hosts quickly, so social and medical structures act quickly to halt its spread. (Unlike Covid-19, which spreads insidiously, not showing itself for days after infection, giving the host time to spread it to many others unknowingly.)

    That and there are several vaccines for it now, which I like to think will help even if we seem to live in a world of witchburners when it comes to that sort of thing.
