    Mike,

Did you ever decide on a course? California State University Dominguez Hills has a humanities MA--all distance. I received my MA in same last May. Didn't seem to matter re: political leanings. What mattered was good work. I had a very good experience with the program (though some delays in mail and responses to communications).

It may depend upon one's motives, however. If a student is out to stir things up, that can be done anywhere, no matter what the politics...
    Best of luck

The white man blues. Instead of having his career guranteed because he is white and from a family of priviledge, he now must advance based on the quality of his ideas and the ability to work with others.
The issue you are raising is not just one of conservatism. It is one of automatically having a "class" or a "caste" with benefits and having other "classes" or "castes" without full rights and benefits.
One of the nice things with on-line classes is the work is evaluated based on the merit of ideas, logic, and science and not race, family of origin and wealth. This would be pretty terrifying to someone who looks at the source of a product, as more important than the work itself.
The great white right is not just one thought on the major issues. The drug problem has people on the side of expanding the "drug war" as well as the William F. Buckley side who say to legalize drugs.
The "right" usually characterizes the "media" as being "left wing". However, can you name one national radio talk show host who is "left wing". Can you name one "media" owner who is "left wing".
Compare the "media's" treatment of Bill Clinton's drug use vs. W. Bush's drug use. While the country in general doesn't really care, one got much more of a "priviledged" free ride than the other.
One of the things the Koreans did to the American POW's was to have them read the constitution and bill of rights. Is reading the bill of rights conservative? is it liberal? Since the constitution and bill of rights is one of the founding documents of the country wouldn't it be quite "conservative" to read and understand? When a political science class applies the "equal protection" concept, wouldn't that be "conservative"?
If you want a fundamental "conservative" education try the christian, jewish, or islamic fundamental academies. Let us know the one you picked. But don't confuse "conservatism" with "racism". Don't confuse "white mans priviledge" with "acedemia". and do plan to have a high quality of logic for discourse and not to rely on discrediting through labeling.
    Good luck to you.

Mike: Since you want to go DL, political correctness is not going to be an issue. It rarely is a problem until grad school anyway. The courses offered by LSU are cheap, very straight forward, and can be used toard a degree offered by University of New Orleans, Metropolitan College, all RA. Go Tigers!

    Late, Craig
