Years ago when was in the military and before the Internet colleges and universities would send professors over to the bases to teach classes to military members and their dependents. On the base I was at in Spain the University of Maryland offered undergraduate degrees and U of OK. offered a MPA. Troy State a Masters in Management, and Ball State a Master's in Counseling (which I took and graduated from) I've never been to the Ball Staste campus in Munice,IN -all my classes were on the base in Spain. Just curious -do any U.S colleges or universities now still offer in person classes on overseas bases or if it all online now for these students?
I’ve seen ads in Higher Ed Jobs for the University of Maryland-Global looking for in-class teachers at various military bases, both US and overseas. The last one I saw was for Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska.
