Hello, I came across this program offered by the Minnesota State University-Mankato. Master’s Degree – Degrees & Certificates – Technical Communication – Minnesota State University, Mankato For someone interested in an online MA English degree, this seems like a nice degree. Tuition is at around $312.00 I think. Disclaimer: I'm not, in any way, shape or form, associated with this school.
Did not want you guys to think that I was spamming the site. Although the program looks mighty sweet.
I can tell you what I think about that issue and maybe it can put you (and others) at ease. If someone comes on to this site and makes a post that says, "Hey, I found this cool looking program that might be a good fit for some of our members." there's nothing wrong with that. We like members to identify new or lesser known programs, it's one of the great aspects of this site. If the poster is actually involved in the program in some way then I think it's nice to say so for two main reasons. The first is that we then know that there is, maybe, a certain amount of bias or lack of obhectivity in their assessment. On the other hand, it can be especially usefulto our members because then the poster probably has some very useful inside info on the program. I generally emphasize the latter because our members are typically quite smart and can make up their own minds in these matters. I see this whole dynamic as being substantially different than spamming/advertising and I hope that everyone will feel free to talk about their schools/programs or any interesting programs that they discover.
Good evening, Koolcypher! Actually, I agree with Kizmet on the issue of finding new programs. In fact, it's usually been a badge of honor on this site and predecessors (e.g., alt.education.distance) to find and share information on new DL degrees. Keep sharing kool programs!
