Yes, today, on the 25th anniversary of Ian Curtis's suicide, I was able to take for the first and last time 3 more Cleppies with the following results/comments: Business Law: 63 Principles of Accounting: 62 (If you have no previous background on these two, I do suggest you do some serious studying. I don't see how anyone could pass them by chance. I found that the 90 minutes allocated for the 78 questions of the accounting exam was a bit tight for me. I answered all the questions, but some in a hurry because they did require some thinking and even scrap paper work. I am happy to have gotten it out of my life, really). Info Systems & Computer App: 67 (Didn't need to studuy for this one because of professional background/previous studies in the subject) So now we are nearing the end. A vistit to Geneva for 2 more Cleps (Algebra and Principles of management), then the English composition and Information Literacy subjects which I will most probably do through LSU (If they get back to me with information on the price of the book for the first one which I cannot find anywhere on the web), and perhaps by around September I will be able to say I have made it... Nice job ! Any formula related questions on the IS exam? what study resources did you use for the 3 exams?
Books Used -------------- Sorry, no shortcuts for me here: -Business Law: Barron's Business Law -Accounting: Barron's Accounting + Schaum's Managerial Accounting The 3 books are excellent as they have lots of solved problems. Especially Schaum's is great, plenty of examples and solved problems. I didn't study the whole Business Law book as not all chapters are covered in the exam. I believe that I could use that same book for Dantes Business Law II if I ever do it in the future. No formulas that I can think of in the Information Systems exam. It does cover quite a broad area of IS, from basic programming logic to Network issues.
Good job!!! You are so close!!!!! I noticed your link to Ian Curtis. I remeber seeing bands like Public Image LTD(Johnny Rotten's band) in the early 80's along with the likes of the Dead Kennedys, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, UK Subs, X, Sussie and the Banshees, Social Distortion, GBH, The descendents, on and on and on! I went to go see the The Alarm a few months back, I guess they are now known as the Poppy fields. They are still good. Keep up the good work!!! Abner
Good job, Will Makeit. You will make it, god willing. Where there's a will there's a way...and on, and on. Anyway, keep going, and try not to lose momentum. Tony
Fascinating. The person who wrote this-- "The corny stuff is alright, but it's nice to also speak from one's own real experience. There. Some more food for your: Pride, Arrogance and Intolerance, if you are still hungry." --when taken to task for his churlish attempt to trash and discourage a woman beginning her DL work-- ---apparently finds it fitting and proper that he should seek and receive encouragement for passing a couple of exams. How base. How utterly base.
Thanks all for the great encouragement ! If you need any further information on my resources/exams just let me know. I am planning on building a temporary website posting a complete listing of all my exams/subjects together with the books/resources used and my comments as to difficulty etc, when I complete. But that still is some months away.
