Charles I was the sort to lose his head in a crisis.

Hey Johann, the King through the Governor General, might be appointing a new PM for Canada. Apparently running a minority government is even harder than JT thought.

Yeah, but he hung around a bridge outside the Tower for years afterwards.

OML, where do you get this stuff, Nosborne? Things must be slow in New Mexico. JT is the MAN! I've received more goodies from him than the last five PM's combined! It'll take an ELECTION for anything to happen -- and looking at the other hopefuls.... Justin will survive that. At least, even as a professed atheist, I'll still pray to G*d that he does!! :(

"Yeah? Well, so do I. But mine's actually from the UK, where Her Majesty lived. So there," said Johann, smugly. :p

I beg to differ, fellow Canadian - Chrystia is the MAN.
I grew to dislike baby Trudeau; he's an elitist out of touch daddy's boy. Having said that - most likely you're right, and he'll survive this. Canadians, myself included, dislike the Conservative alternative even more.

The Sovereign's role is a symbolic one. And symbolically, she lived in Rideau Hall, 1 Sussex Drive, Canada. And was my symbolic employer when I was in the Public Service.

I have something pretty good from the UK, but it isn't a passport.

I'm with you on that. She'd be a real class act as a Prime Minister. I'm just in love with the money Justin hands me - which is, I'll admit, pretty shallow thinking.

Yeah - you do. Really good. Got it in Leicester, didn't you? :)

And did your employer pay you in symbolic money? :)

Reminds me of a disgruntled Russian factory worker's comment, around the time of the Soviet breakup, which was fraught with economic difficulties for working people: "We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us." :)

No, thanks to my brothers from the PIPSC union, money was very real.
