There is a schism in naturopathy--1. Those completing DL programs and 2. Those completing four year residential programs (which require pre-professional training, as well).

The Council on Naturopathic Medical Education had USOE recognition, but lost it. They continue to accredit the four year residential programs.

Other groups have been formed which offer "certification." The ones I have seen are less-than-wonderful.

John: And so did the prestigious AACSB (for business schools), the principal veterinary school accreditor, and others. Nothing whatever to do with their quality of work. CNME accreditation is still required by the 12 US states and 4 Canadian provinces that license naturopaths.

I heartily endorse the "nonwonderful" characterization of the ANMC.

If John endorses something it must be good. ;)
