Anyone here use similar options to Buy Me a Coffee, Patreon? I want to use something similar to these two. And for purchase payments, I only use PayPal for now, but I know there are alternatives, such as the ones like Amazon, Apple, Google, Square, Stripe... What do you use for quick transfers, such as for donations, payments, etc? For now, I like PayPal as I don't have to keep entering my MasterCard or Visa details for purchases, it's safer in one spot than purchasing from each and every online store I visit. That's just me, I set things up differently. Are there better ways to go around things, yes, but I haven't found an easier option yet, maybe another alternative to Paypal... Been thinking of creating audio/info books on Amazon and self publishing... Just fishing for options right now, haven't set anything in stone, just yet... For books on Amazon, would you consider Kindle Unlimited? There seem to be quite a few authors who publish whole series of books that way, and they keep doing it so it must be acceptable money to them.
Currently I do not use either but may consider using one in the near future. Regarding Paetreon. Patreon will increase the cut it takes from new creators “Existing Patreon creators need not worry — this price increase will only affect creators who publish a new Patreon page after August 4, 2025. Currently, Patreon takes an 8% cut or a 12% cut from creators, depending on their selected tier — though the 8% plan is far more popular. The new pricing plan instead offers one universal tier, which keeps 10% of creator earnings.” https://techcrunch.com/2025/06/16/patreon-will-increase-the-cut-it-takes-from-new-creators/
I don't know about specific platforms, but I've seen a few YouTubers, bloggers, and other creators publishing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency addresses on their channels & sites. It might not lead to monthly income like the other platforms, but it might be something worth considering to supplement what you're already earning through the other sites?
