From the information on degreeinfo, I came up with these doctoral programs under $30,000. In the weeks and months to come, I will have a list of RA masters under $11,000. My goal is to also have a list of NA doctoral degrees under $11,000 and list of NA masters under $6,000. The numbers are arbitrary, but if we help just one family from financial ruining, the effort may just worth it. Many students asked about the cheapest programs. Therefore finance is a critical factor in deciding which program to enroll in. I think it's a great idea to help people understand which degrees cost more (or less) but I think it's also important to point out that every university clearly states that costs are subject to change without prior notice and so our members need to understand that at any given time these numbers may be quite inaccurate. Also, some degree program costs include books, materials, etc. while some do not so I would advise everyone to use these figures as relative measures, not absolutes.
RA? I think you need to check your data better, a few of those (University of Saint Augustine as one) are not RA.
Great job! Looks like you put there in quite some work. If it would be some kind of a wiki it could stay update'able for later use.
Thanks for all your work, okydd! Here is some info. on another doctoral degree: . . . and for some of the RA Doctor of Ministry programs: D.Min, Fuller Theological Seminary, (www.fuller.edu) $17,520 D.Min, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, (www.gordonconwell.edu) $15,900 D.Min, Ashland Theological Seminary, (www.ashland.edu/seminary), $14,895 D.Min, Talbot School of Theology, (www.talbot.edu) $14,000 D.Min, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, (www.nobts.edu) $6,900 (Southern Baptists), $13,800 (others)
At the Spring 2011 rate the tuition for the whole EdD in Higher Education through the University of Memphis would be $16,704, and it requires a week there each summer. The PhD in Curriculum and Instruction through New Mexico State University is similarly inexpensive; it requires two solid weeks in residence for three years in a row. By the way, this is supposed to be a list of programs that can be done specifically by distance, with no more than one or two weeks in residence per year, yes? -=Steve=-
I am just amaze by the number of universities that offer in-state tuition under $30,000 for doctoral degrees. I am doing research to update this list to include in-state tuition. From my little research, I think US students should do a little more research in state before they hand over big bucks to those pricey school that advertise a lot. Your local state schools or not-for-profits may just have an amazing deal for you. I had no idea this degree was this reasonable (my last employer paid for all tuition, parking and books) - All I can say is the people I know who earned it earned very good salaries. Fellow students came from varied manufacturing and service sectors - Toyota, Honda, USAF, Food business, hotels, Aerospace, Supplier of toys to hamburger joints, police, and health industry. My local CC accepted this as equal to an MBA for teaching business (I was down selected to last three for an adjunct faculty job teaching QA from a field of over 200).
UNISA 100s Doctorate s (World Ranking 1219) <$7,500 My tuition for 2011 is 2,227.00. Others may vary with program and such.
My calculation was 2500 x 3 years, 7,500. The DBL, Doctor of Business leadership is a little bit higher but still under 10,000.
Master degrees under $10,000 (in-state) are so numerous that it will take me a while to fully update the list. There some great deals out there.
