It was like watching a transporter accident, but not as messy.

The Saint Regis group site advancedu.org had been posting a link to a discussion forum with URL http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=67349&subForumID=185199 for a few days The four registered members are/were "Ed," "George Brown," "Learning," and "George Gollin."

There was a post about the advancedu.org - St. Regis connection, and a quote from part of Title 15 United States code (the section dealing with financial inducements offered to foreign government officials). There were a few more things, of course, all polite and measured in tone.

This must have annoyed "Ed" to pieces, who was logged into the forum at the time. All those consumer-protection tips just POUF! disappeared. Deleted, expunged.

And now we see the message "This is a moderated forum. Your comment will not be posted until it has been approved by an administrator. The forum has been closed." There wasn't even time for some of the feistier people to arrive from other fora.

Ed's not very much fun, alas.

Oh, yeah- the link to the forum on the advancedu.org page is gone too.

I'm hoping that they can eventually acclimate themselve to a life of incarceration so that they won't be to inconvenienced. Perhaps they could sell diploma's to fellow inmates for cigarettes?

It couldn't have been anything that you said because Ed says, Since Ed has apparently violated his own promise that the board would be only "lightly, IF EVER" moderated it must have been forced by some absolutely horrible and outrageous circumstance. For example maybe Ed doesn't like people whose name begins with G. If so, I'm guessing that George Brown will be next?
