    I can't believe the average refund is $2,740. I wonder if that includes joint-filers...

    I'm in the same boat as Randell; I got a decent refund from my federal taxes, which went right into the amount I ending up owing Maryland.

    Exactly....my dad's estate was settled in 2008, so I got croaked this year.
