    Hey folks,

My sweetie needs a 1 credit natural sciences credit. She was just accepted to Penn State's World Campus but she has this small hole in her transcript credits. Any thoughts?

Is it because she needs a lab that wasn't attached to a previous class?
I ask, because labs without lecture are harder to find.
The thing is, needing one credit is like needing 1/2 a penny. She will probably end up taking a full 3 credit lecture class/test unless she needs a lab. Really, there is nothing wrong with a few unused hours.
She'll probably find it very fast to take an exam for 3 credits (if they accept it) and just call it done. If exams are out, Clovis Community College offers cheap sciences with labs (I'm taking 8 credits myself this fall) and if she does it over the summer, it's not too long.

    Jen,

Are you taking Chem and Biology at Clovis?

    Shawn,
I am taking A&P 1 (4) and Microbiology (4) for sure- I'm considering adding 2 other classes since I have a good handful of BSN pre-reqs to meet, but those are on my list for sure.

Here is a one credit class, offered this summer, and it is a lab as well. It is meant to go along with a 2 credit lecture course, but most courses like this at UF you can take the lecture and lab separately.

(The down side to this is that she will have to collect a wide variety of bugs, mount them, and then send in her kit to UF for grading. )
