I would like to know about the experiences people on here had with Troy State U? I just received some information on their MPA and MSM program and it sounds very good. Also dose anybody know the exact prices of this programs, they didn't send me any information on the price?

    Thanks

Cost is available on their web site

Go to their web site it has cost listed. TRhey are very competitive, I think about $12K. But you have to buy books which are pricey. My wife is in the MPA and likes it a lot.

    Bo,

I am in TSUFL's undergrad BSCS program. TSU uses blackboard for their classes. The grad courses might be a little different but the undergrads are 10 weeks in length. Some courses are proctored, some are blackboard exams (depends on the instructor). Their undergrad tuition is 140, so grad tuition might cheap as well.. Other than the unusually slow process of evaluating transferred credit, I don't really have any complaints.

    Best Regards,
    Bill

I also attend TSU FL Computer Science Program and I have to say I like it alot. I agree with what Bill said about TSU. It is easy to work full-time and go to school full-time. I haven't had any problems obtaining student loans or scheduling classes or contacting teachers or contacting TSU staff. It took them a term to evaluate my transfer credits. I have attended 3 terms so far and I look foward to continuing there.

    Hey Bill,

I am taking Micro Economics & Functional Characteristics of Digital Computers (Assembly)

How is three classes working out for you? I don't think I could dedicated enough for three!

I guess they aren't offering Computer Networking either. I know they used to and it was taught by Mr. Litz. I hope they plan on offering it again.

Well.. I don't know yet. This will be the first term I try three courses. What's worse is last term is the first term I didn't do as great as I been doing before. So, I am hoping that I can handle three. If not, I'll bail out of one and press on.

I talked to mr. Litz and he says he is pressing to get it back by term IV. So, take that for it's worth. I think it will be back before long (I definately want to take it so, I'll wait around).

I hope they get it back because I want to take it now before they don't offer it again. Besides Ada isn't offered as an elective unless you can attend on campus. Which doesn't leave a bunch of choices for the electives!

Any advice on the assembly class?

The assembly class is easy at first (boolean logic, different types of registers and whatnot). The material gets harder as you progress and the tests become harder (you have to really read the questions over and over again). Some of thequestions will be subroutines you have to figure out the register values. I enjoyed the class though. I think it is used as a prequisite for the Control Programs course.

    Best Regards,
    Bill

When you took it, was it proctored exams?

Nope it was four timed tests on blackboard (1 every 2 weeks), Following the chapters.

Cool, I can swear that the syllabus says proctored exams. Must be a typo.

    Thanks Bill!
