    Jeff,

You can find Willie here. He doesn't seem to list Gobstoppers but those can be ordered from here.

From a 2000 South African news story:

"The New National Party and Democratic Party on Sunday called for a full investigation into senior government staff qualifications after weekend reports of under-qualified senior civil servants.

DP spokesperson Mannetjies Grobler and NNP spokesperson Francois Beukman called for the review following claims that the qualifications of Commissioner of Correctional Services, Lulamile Mbete, and Mpumalanga Director General Shadreck Coleman Nyathi were questionable.

The parties said Mbete claimed to have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from the University of Fort Hare, but the institution said it had no record of issuing the qualification to him.

The Sunday Times reported that Nyathi had only passed standard eight and that a Doctorate in Business Administration issued to him by the Knightsbridge University is not internationally recognised..."

This South African news story seems consistent with Jeff's thread title. The reasons that questions were raised in parliament appear to have been "under-qualified senior civil servants" with "questionable" qualifications. Specific reference was made to Mr. Nyathi's obtaining a doctorate from a university which is "not internationally recognized", despite his failure to graduate from secondary school.

In other words, the issue was precisely the educational standard of senior civil servants.

The headline: "Fake Degree Claims Spark Calls for Probe" was written by the South Africans, not by me.

Seems accurate to me, but I gave a link to the articles. People can read and decide for themselves.

And perhaps I should have thrown in that apparently, according to this article, the highest legitimate education the person in question attained before being admitted to Knightsbridge's doctoral program was the 8th or 10th grade.

I'm tempted to order a copy of his dissertation. I'm also tempted to order an Everlasting Gobstopper from the Willie Wonka factory

And if you'd had any integrity, you'd have realised that this, too, is a fallacy. Indeed, you're committing the error of parading hearsay as fact, having first run it through your own biased opinions. As a result, you think that because some jobsworth in South Africa confirms your bias, you can present this as fact.

Those who know more of the matter might be able to. This has already been discussed in a different thread, and you're simply bringing it up under a different heading for the opportunity to repeat nonsense. That's pretty rubbish debating tactics, you know.

What the discerning reader will find is that your thread heading is rubbish, and that you have a not-very-well-hidden agenda.

I think you shouldn't, as this would have highlighted how little investigation you have done, and how little you know of the matter. 'Apparently', to you, would seem to be enough to constitute fact. This was also covered elsewhere, but you don't care, as you are not here for information, you are here for mis-information, and Knightsbridge is your target.

You know little and demonstrate less. Why not start a thread on that?

But do they also carry Type-stoppers? You have to be aware of your needs before placing orders.

Say, Jeff Hampton and J.H., Jr., would they happen to be the same person? This has been suggested to me, and would certainly explain why the latter has latched on to me like a leach at CollegeHints.
