Hi All, A friend of mine, whom I advised should try to roll all of his college course from 10 different schools over the past 15 years, applied to TESC, COSC, and Excelsior. He stated that he got his evaluation back a few days ago and all three accepted "D's" listed on his transcripts from other schools and placed them in his degree program. I don't think that any of them were in his major but I was certain that even the "Big 3" wouldn't transfer or bank D's! Anyone ever heard of this? If they will take D's...I have a few other people that I know that would do well to submit their transcripts. Regards, Mike AA Burlington County College (B&M RA) BA TESC (DL RA) MS SMSU (DL RA) JD (Holding Pattern)
Accepting Ds is common. My wife has one D+, which has been accepted everywhere she has had her credits evaluated (Excelsior, Western Illinois, BCOU, Athabasca). The Big 3 require you to maintain a 2.0 (C) average, which would be a pretty unnecessary requirement if Ds weren't allowed. They do require Cs for specific things, such as the English requirement and exam-based credit at Excelsior.
Hello, I know that TESC allows a student to retake a" D"course and have the original grade deleted. I am unsure if the others have this policy. Hille
To maintain a "C" Average, for every "D" there must be a "B". So a few "D"'s in an elective won't hurt.
