Is anyone aware of a dual/concurrent masters/doctorate program that can be done through Distance Learning?

    Thanks

    Yes several.

What field are you interested in? Engineering, science, business, education, or some combination?

    DL Dual Masters/Doctorare Degrees

I sincerely appreciate your response. I am interested in a dual masters/doctorate degree program in communications, preferrably leadership/corporate/business/organizational, of that nature. I'd even consider one in Criminal Justice or Criminal Justice Administration.

Are you aware of any accredited (association of state) type institutions offering such? If so kindly direct me to where I may find additional information.

    Thanks a million!

Northcentral University will allow you to enter their doctoral program with just a bachelors degree. On your way to the doctorate, you will receive a masters degree by default.

Is that what you're referring to? :)

I recommend you look at the two schools under Capella University: The school of Human Services and the School of Psychology (Industrial and Organizational Psychology) at www.capella.edu .

    Other possible are:

    www.fielding.edu

    www.saybrook.edu

    www.tui.edu

I don't know the web address but the Regents University in Virginia has a Communications Doc.

    Hope that helps.

There are a bunch of Australian schools that offer Masters/Doctoral degree programs in Communications. Typically, you apply to the Masters program and then at some point during that program you petition for admission to the PhD program. Look at:
    U of Melbourne
    U of New England
    U of Southern Queensland
    Charles Sturt U
and of course, there's always UNISA.

You guys have been really helpful and I do so much appreciate your pointers. I have begun my search using the information you gave so unselfishly. Look me up when you visit Florida. Thanks again.

I did not even know a MA/PhD was even possible within the online environment. I wish that was possible when I got my English MA.

    Thank you everyone

The information shared has helped me a great deal. If at all possible can you please share some information with me as well? I am looking into a MS or MA/PhD track as well. I am looking in the areas of Education, School Counselor, International studies, or Communications. I would like to enter in with my BA and finish with my PhD. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to locate an online Masters/PhD psychology program. I'm nearing the end of my BS in psychology online and would like to be able to move right into the next degree by this time next year. Any help is appreciated.

There are sometimes large (and sometimes huge) differences in training among the different areas of psychology, for example among clinical, counseling, school, educational, social, and industrial/organizational psychology. Where do your interests lie within psychology? What are you interested in doing within, with, and after your graduate degrees?

Is a master's on the way essential or important, or would a doctorate that accepts students directly from the bachelor's level work? This arrangement isn't uncommon in psychology.

Finally, will your search include B&M programs or hybrid/blended/short-residency programs, or be limited to fully or almost fully online programs?

You have to decide what level licensure you want. Do you want to be a psychotherapist on the Masters level?
Do you want to be a doctoral level clinician. That is called a "psychologist." For the first designation there are many online programs available. For the second, there is only one option now. You have only one online institution accredited by the American Psychological Association to date. It is Fielding Graduate University - Graduate School, Master's Degrees, Doctoral Degrees

And that's if our poster even wants to be a licensed health professional serving individual clients. Of course, that isn't all there is to psychology! Perhaps Jjones wants to study psychological processes in a research lab (with humans, or with animals), or to apply psychology to employee selection, or to market research… Each of these possibilities too would point to different grad-school paths.
