That link was posted following the fair use copyright law.... And since I was using the wayback machine for research purposes I doubt I have broken their user agreement either.

Do you mean that AEI has never authenticated an SRU degree, or that it once did but no longer does?

In June 2003, SRU had on its Website a scan of "an example of an evaluation of a St. Regis University degree evaluated as equivalent to a US regionally accredited degree, conducted by American Evaluation Institute." I saw it on the Web; MRinger saw it; and others here probably saw it too. Are you saying that this must have been a forgery?

I don't notice any of this person's threats and name-calling being directed against St Regis. Curious--nay, even fishy.

It's like this, Dennis. MRinger and others posted some stuff about a degree authentication service which may or may not have authenticated St Regis degrees. In Dr Levicoff's phrase, no big whoop. Nothing abusive, nothing intemperate, nothing inflammatory, nothing. Now this fishwife shows up, nursing a grudge and screaming bloody murder about how her man was done wrong by by all us wayward youths, or something, and in high dudgeon and low threatenings over the word "fishy". Got it? Yeah, well, me neither.

There are only a couple of points which remain unclear to me. The first is, why is "the Mrs." posting these messages? Why not Dr. Clark himself? The second is, what role in this process does Mrs. Clark RN play that she can be so certain about what has and has not occurred?

I think Janko is a Heinz 57, a little bit of everything - not a racist bone in his body.

    Note to myself.

And I can assure all that when I contacted the Department of Education in the state of Idaho, they were quite adamant that they would not accept a degree from St. Regis for teacher certification.

    Not particularly surprising.

    AEI Evaluations

In response to a call I made last week, I just received a call this morning from the US Dept. of Education. They tell me that Dr. Clark is a Title IV Administrator and some states may accept his evaluations while other states may not as acceptance of evaluations is on a state by state basis... however they were quick to inform me that a state's non-acceptance may be due to the fact that the state has in place a policy to only accept evaluations by certain evaluation services, and this does NOT imply that an evaluation service is fraudulent.

Dr. Clark's evaluations are accepted by several state Dept. of Education offices as well as the Dept. of Homeland Security / Dept. of Justice and the Dept. of the Army.

The Dept. of Education also said that just because a nonaccredited and fraudulent school puts AEI's name on their website does not mean that the evaluations are fraudulent. SRU could have used his name without his knowledge.

The Dept. of Education also told me an interesting fact... A state cannot grant a degree except that it has the authority to grant degrees given it by the Federal government. If the US Dept. of Education or ANY federal department (Dept. of Homeland Security, Dept. of Justice, etc.) recognizes an educational credentialing service or evaluation, then the evaluation is valid, PERIOD.

    Zehavi,

I don't doubt that Dr. Clark's evaluations are accepted, I just wonder why he doesn't seem to be a member of Nafsa or AACRAO, like most evaluation companies are.....

How is saying that something is fishy equate to racism? What race of humans is most associated with fish?

How is saying that something is fishy equate to calling someone a fish?

Mr. Clark, R.N., are you a real person or are you one of the Admins playing a practical joke? :D

Here's another thing about AEI.... I tried in desperation to have WES evaluate my Army credits to no avail.... Dr. Clark is the ONLY Dept. of the Army evaluator I could find...

Does anyone here have experiences regarding the non-acceptance of Army training? I have had alot of negative experiences regarding my Army Engineer training and acceptance of my Corps of Engineers PROSPECT training...

    Re: AEI Evaluations

I don't believe that they told you that because it isn't true.

    That's ridiculous, isn't it?

If, for the sake of argument, a federal department accepts an evaluation, then presumably the evaluation is accepted as valid by that department in that instance. But that doesn't obligate the rest of the world to accept all subsequent evaluations made by that credential evaluator. Nor does it even imply that the original accepted evaluation was accurate or correct. Mistakes happen.
