Isn't it amazing that a person with such perfect credentials as Dr. Hoyer ends up working almost exclusively with unaccredited schools.

Just think of the money Harvard could save by hiring him and making him head of every department.

His website lays it on thicker and piles it deeper than even Archbishop Dr. Dr. Dr. Chief Swift Eagle's website.

Note to myself - get some of those doctorates fast and head to Russia, their radar does not seem to function as well as American. No wonder they lost the cold war.

I agree with you, i just don't agree with your blanket statement that Evaluation Companies can't do their job. I know that ECE was quoted on one site saying some school (possibly St. Regis) was acceptable, but when I contacted ECE they claimed they never made that statement, and that they had been trying to remove it from the website.

If people would just read the news, they would realize that Liberia is on the brink of another Civil war and that even though the UN has tried to step in they are powerless to stop anything. It will be interesting to see what happens there once the current Regime is stopped.

    Please work on your formatting.

You've got Bill talking to himself, which may not be all that unusual, but it is hard to follow.

Sorry about that, I should have put my portion in color. Unfortunately I can not go back and edit since it has been over 10 minutes. Unless the administrators take pity on my poor soul.

I agree that not all evaluators fall for the new "flag of convenience" ploy. But some do. And that means that the degree mills and their champions will inevitably try to exploit that fact. They already are.

But how can a university/employer know whether or not their particular evaluator is one of those that can be trusted?

If I presented a degree from an otherwise unknown university in Tajikistan, say, the credential evaluators would actually fly out to central Asia to perform an accreditation site visit? Or would they just check in the usual reference databases and if it didn't appear there, perhaps call the Tajik embassy?

I never made a blanket statement that evaluation companies can't do their job. I did suggest that some of them haven't recognized this "flag of convenience" problem yet, while a small number of others are probably determined to avoid seeing it.

One is not able to locate any evidence that permits one to believe that Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Hoyer, and Archbishop Dr Dr Dr Swift Eagle are not one and the same person.

One is not alone in that view ... maybe someone here has some other evidence?

The "gone" info was correct at the time I posted it. Note that I subsequently wrote: "And now they're back!"

heheh maybe if I would pay attention I would have noticed that. I'll report back as soon as I know more. I think its interesting that his Course by Course evaluation is $600 which is way out of line for what most people charge.

You might have a point here, but with all the conference's (both NAFSA and WES) there is alot of education out there for evaluators.

    American Evaluation Institute

If Dr. Clark is a fraud, I've been duped as well as the Idaho Board of Regents, as well as the US Army. Dr. Clark is a US Army Evaluator (the Army AIPD is familiar with him). The Idaho Dept. of Education people are familiar with Dr. Clark and the only beef they had with AEI was that the AEI website claimed

"Our evaluations will certify your Education for the State of Idaho as required by the Idaho Department of Education."

The Board of Regents told me (they returned my calls) that the evaluations by Dr. Clark DO NOT certify anything, however they DO consider his evaluation in the certifying process. I called the Pennsylvania Board of Regents who also accept Dr. Clark's evaluations. The office in Idaho told me that they speak to Dr. Clark on a fairly regular basis and have had no problem with his evaluations.

BTW, I did not pay $600.00 for a Course by Course evaluation... where did this figure come from? I called WES and my evaluation rate was the same or near the same as WES.

    Re: American Evaluation Institute

His website site states that course by course evaluations are $600 follow this link to the application. Another thing that bothers me about is, he doesn't claim to be a member of any of the groups that most evaluators are members of NAFSA,AACRO. Nor do they claim to be members of NACES or AICIE. It doesn't mean they can't do evaluations, it just means I find them to be fishy....

I never said that your husbans company does evaluations for St. Regis, it was posted on St. Regis' website that your husbands company does evaluations for them.

I was only stating what was on the SRU website at the time.

I am sorry if I have upset you, but I only reported what I saw.
