Friends of mine have told me that they took the ECE-English Comp. exam; and they recieved a letter grade of "C". I was told that it is the norm with the exam & no matter what, everyone gets a "C", no matter how good or bad you do. Can anyone advise if this is true? V/r Vinny
Not True.... ....I got a "B". I believe I've read others here that got an "A". At least for me, I thought it was pretty hard. I'm not use to writing by hand anymore and the time really pushes you to work without going through the correct steps in writing, IMHO. Of the ECE tests I took, this was by far the one I dreaded most.
Thank you. Thank you for the reply Mark; it is appreciated. I found this test the hardest of any that I've taken to date. It is the last one I had to take, to complete my requirement for Excelsior. I'm just nervous...and I know I messed up. It's been three weeks since I've taken the test...still waiting for my results. V/r Vinny
Hi All, Will Excelsior College accept the CLEP English Composition with Essay in lieu of ECE's English Composition? Thanks.
No, sorry - I remember reading on the Excelsior site that they do "not" accept CLEP for the English Composition exam - it has to be ECE.
Thanks Mlee. Hi All, What is the easiest way to fulfill the 3 credit English requirement at Excelsor? Sounds like the ECE English Composition requires quite a bit of preparation? Can anyone share their experience taking the ECE English Composition exam? Thanks. James
Does Excelsior accept the TECEP (Thomas Edison State College Examination Program) "English Composition I"? It may be easier - and it is pass/fail.
Can you just enrol for the English Composition I @ Thomas Edison State College without going through the entire application process?
"Originally, the tests were only available to Thomas Edison State College students. Now TECEP® examinations are available to anyone who is interested in earning college credit-by-examination. Students at many other colleges and universities have found wide acceptability for TECEP® credit at their home institutions." http://www.tesc.edu/students/tecep/tecep.php
