It's good to see that the state of South Carolina is finally doing something about fake degrees. Half cop and half embalmer? What did Americus award him? A doctorate in criminal justice with a specialization in "excavating bones"?
"Many higher education leaders across the state were surprised this week to learn several Web sites offer custom-made degrees, diplomas and certificates that promise to look real and can include just about any name of a college or university." "This week"? Where have these people been?
As a Clemson University grad, I always thought that the degrees issued by the University of South Carolina were fake.
And they use the initials USC, presumably in the hope that people will confuse them with the real USC in California.
