They're always saying these things for some reason or another. Saccharin was banned for ages because of an experiment with a faulty premise, IIRC. Something like feeding rats 1000x the saccharin that a human could ever hope to consume. I'll wait for multiple studies to confirm Sucralose/Splenda is bad.
