Beal University in Maine has just recently been granted a conditionally approved nursing program for the Province of New Brunswick. Students in the province can take the first year online and the two subsequent years in Maine for clinical training. I think this is a great option for those Canadians (and for those who want to go to Maine, up to 100 seats).

Why is it a great option for Canadians? Canadian-trained nurses who want to, can - and frequently do - qualify to work in the US - and are avidly recruited. Often right on graduation. If American employers want them (and it seems they want all they can get) how is it going to get them more? Besides it's probably cheaper for Canadian nursing students to study on their home turf. I/m sure most of them can get some non-repayable government grants, etc. as well.

Unless, of course, Maine - or the school - is throwing in huge financial incentives. Are they?
