A 623-year academic institution sounds impressive with history, but how does the industry treat this degree in English from a country English is not the native language?

Any Ph.D. in Data Science or AI from these cost-effective institutions that teach in English?

I can't really answer this question, but with regard to the English language in Higher Education there is one thing I would like to point out. At least here in Europe, English is currently on the way to get a similar status in the university system as Latin had it during the Middle Ages. This does not really apply to undergraduate degrees, but it is very true in graduate education.

Degrees such as this one are actually only secondly aimed at native English speakers. The main target group are students from other European countries. Since many different languages are spoken in Europe and since English is already the Lingua Franca of Science, it makes sense to offer courses in English for students from other European countries. In addition, in most European countries it is not possible to graduate from high school if you don't speak at least one foreign language. In many cases, this language is English.

Interesting find, thanks for sharing. Price is already great yet they apparently also offer scholarships. Brochure implies it's a one year full-time course, wonder if they have a part-time option.

@TEKMAN, I noticed your profile says "MPS in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence | Coursera University (10% Completed)", which course is that, and what is Coursera University ?:emoji_thinking:

I just made it up. I have access to Coursesra for FREE except the University degree and MasterTrack certificates. These are the Coursera professional certificate that I plan to study for the next 2 years along with my Ph.D. in Information Technology at the University of the Cumberlands.

What kind of access to coursera do you have.

I'm quite sure your employer pays for it, but maybe I can get the same access. Either through my employer (which is unfortunately not very likely), or by paying myself.

Neither I pay myself or my employer. I get access through the Veteran Transition Support program (https://veteranstransitionsupport.org/veteranresources/). If you are a Veteran and able to join the group through ID.com identification; you can request to access Coursera VTS for FREE.

I have access to everything except college degree and MasterTrack certificate programs. Free all courses, labs, specialization certificates, and professional certificates.

Sounds similar to Coursera Plus: https://www.coursera.org/courseraplus
They occasionally have $100 off the annual fee, so $300 per year is not too bad considering what it includes.

    Thanks for your answer.

I'm not a US veteran but Seylan is right, that sounds very similar to Coursera Plus. Currently, Coursera even offers $200 off the annual fee, so I signed up.

Last I checked, Coursera Plus doesn't have the IBM certs. But I think you can do everything else on that list.

These are not Coursera courses. But, as the IBM certificates are not included within Plus, you can use the CognitiveClass and IBM SkillsBuild as complements for free.

Since Coursera Plus was mentioned, they've got a 50% off yearly membership/subscription right now going on that started last week, some of their certs are ACE recommended for credit, others are NOT. I think this is a good deal at $199/year compared to their $100 off previously at $299/year; regular price is $399/year. They sometimes have the $100 off every few months, but rarely you would see the 50% deal... and this is only for NEW users if anyone is wondering... Existing members can just setup a new account under another email and link it to your current one after you finish the certificates/courses.

Wow! I look at the syllabi of AI & Deep Learning; it seems that all the topics were covered under the University of the Cumberlands' ITS 632 Introduction to Data Mining. Especially all the methodologies and techniques along with frameworks.

Depth matters too. A survey course might tell you what each model does and how it works, but you wouldn't necessarily have the practical experience with each one that you might get in a dedicated course on each technique.
