I note that your previously mentioned abuse by the IRS was debunked back in 2017. What new abuse are you talking about?

I repudiate Nazism in general and russian Nazism, in particular. Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy (a politician I didn't vote for, btw) is literally a descendant of victims on Nazism.

This is more than I can say about your liege lord, who is to chickenshit to repudiate even puny American neo-Nazis, not even talking about "genius" pitin-khuylo.

I don't think Trump repudiates them because he is a racist and agrees with them. The openly racists of this country believe that Trump is a fellow racist. I'm sure you've seen the video of them praising Trump's racism while giving the Nazi salute.

    Two issues:

First, this seems to have absolutely nothing to do with what we were discussing.

Second, the New York Post is not trustworthy. It only has a mixed accuracy rating by MediaBiasFactCheck https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/new-york-post/. Which is really bad for a printed newspaper/magazine. Not to be trusted. If you read the article critically, it seems like all bullshit anyway, just innuendo and unfounded accusations. New York Post has many failed fact checks in general. Which is horrible for a printed media that is supposed to have editors checking every printed sentence before the paper is printed.

    Bill,
I suspect, and hope, you address these conversations without being afflicted by the Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). Sadly, many of our colleagues freely relinquish their own sanity while discussing our forty-fifth President. I think they do suffer from the TDS, and I pray they are able to free themselves from it and reclaim their sanity. It seems you and I have returned to where we paused a little while ago. I say to you, every bit of information I present to buttress my arguments is not the misinformation you imagine it to be. And I ask you, Really - Are you shitting me with this Media Bias Fact Check Police thing? It just seems so.... Totalitarian.

I don't think that MBFC does all too good of a job, but fact checking and parsing out bias is just about the least totalitarian thing I can think of.

Also, The New York Post is notoriously unreliable, even wreckless, in its reporting. It's been click bait since before clicks even existed.

MediaBiasFactCheck is the best we got. I'm open if you'd like to propose something better? Regarding NY Post, did you even look at the assessment? I doubt it because there was even pants-on-fire-lies published in that rag. Did you try reading that BS NY Post article critically? Read another news source on the same topic. For example, even the Fox News article on this same topic makes the NY Post article look like social media ramblings. The NY Post is a sad joke.

The fact remains that you falsely accused the Obama administration of having the IRS target conservative political groups to investigate their tax free status. The IRS instead targeted political groups in general, both left and right, to investigate their tax free status. This fact was known when the news first came out but apparently the right biased news didn't bother reporting that little fact to you. Now the reason this is important is because it is a false belief that you've had for many years. It indicts to me that the news sources you use are not trustworthy. Let's take another example. Almost 70% of Republicans believe Trump's Big Lie that there was widespread fraud in the 2020 election. Why is that 70% of Republicans and almost no one else believes the Big Lie? The reason is NOT because Republicans are in general naive or stupid. The reason is because Republicans get their news from unreliable sources. Fox News, for example, pushes Trump lies in general and his Big Lie in particular. Heck almost 25% of Republicans believe some major pieces of QAnon. So there seems to be a reasonable percentage of Republicans that get much of their news from social media, which is even worse than Fox News. This is the most important take away I believe that you could get from this thread.

Regarding TDS, I believe that Trump is dangerous to our democracy. He attacks the integrity of our election system with his Big Lie and says things like the constitution should be suspended so that he can be appointed President. The more folks hear that kind of garbage the more acclimated they become to those very dangerous ideas. Such dangerous ideas lead to January 6 and could lead to even worse violence. He is doing a great disservice to our country with these antics.

It's simply a factual repudiation of your claim that I falsely accused the Obama Administration of using the IRS as a weapon.

For you to insist that MediaBiasFactCheck must umpire all media is simply totalitarian and not congruent with the First Amendment. We have indeed arrived back at our fundamental disagreement. I sincerely believe in our Bill of Rights.

That is totally irrational nonsense! There's no way that a you tube video of some unknown lady could repudiate an inspector general report and an FBI investigation. Especially a video with no date and no context given. That is the definition of stupid and completely untrustworthy social media news.

Not to pile on, because there are a few people here disagreeing with you, but that is very obviously not something that Bill has ever said.

Perhaps sane people wouldn't express symptoms of TDS if T wasn't so D.
