That is our view and I agree completely. It is why Trump activates Democrats and independents to go out and vote at least as well as he activates the Republican base to go out and vote.

For folks on the right, it is reasonable for them to like some aspects of Trump without having to like all aspects though. I liked Bill Clinton, for example. I didn't like him taking advantage of women. I didn't think it was really an impeachable offense though.

Yes. But siding with him implicitly means they value things they like more than the things they don't. Which sucks. Of course, most of them do not think it through like that - but that's how it feels, isn't it? Especially folks with real reasons to worry.

Also, as badly as Bill screwed up, it's nothing compared to January 6th (as just one example). No comparison.

I was not trying to compare Trump with Bill Clinton. Only the rejection of their infidelity by voters on the right and left. Trump is a traitor to this country, from my point of view. By far our worst President for various reasons. For example, Trump wants to destroy NATO and if in power again would probably try to help Putin win the war against Ukraine. He called Russia's attack on Ukraine a genius move by Putin.

Trump calls for the constitution to be suspended so that he can be made President ASAP.

Charles he's your man. Do you support the suspension of our constitution so that Trump can be made President?

I am unfamiliar with any calls to suspend the Constitution. Did something just happen? Do you have a citation?

It is in situations such as this that I often turn to FREE REPUBLIC.COM for actual analysis. You may remember, it was FREEPERs who caught the discredited Dan Rather in his attempt to use forged documents to smear President George W. Bush. President Trump repeats exactly what he said on his own platform - Truth Social. A lie retold and retold again is still a lie. Shame on you. I admonish you to do just a bit of due diligence.

Blah Blah Blah. Still waiting for Voldemort Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy and your crowd to repudiate Nazism.

This was a call to suspend the Constitution, done in very plain and direct terms. No amount of misdirection can change that.

Though it is my habit to ignore Dr. Dr. Douglas, I'm making an exception this time.

    WRONG!

Again, I invite you to exercise just a bit of due diligence.

This is all a bit of word salad to distract from Trump saying yesterday (December 3rd) that "a massive fraud" is sufficient to "allow for the termination of all rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the Constitution."

Not sure what you're on about otherwise, except ignoring this fact.

Trump says a lot of crazy things. This isn't the first time he said something outrageous.

You don't have to defend Trump's character or what he says. That's a losing game.

The statement is right there for all to read. It is unambiguous.

I invite you to return to ignoring my posts. You're more cogent when you say nothing.

    What due diligence?

What is Trump saying if not to suspend the laws, regulations, and constitution, in order to put him back into power or to rerun the election. What else could it possibly mean when he says to "declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER"? Why does it even make sense to rerun the election? Just because he makes up lies that there was widespread election fraud? That is all there is supporting election denialism is Trump lies. Perhaps that is your problem? You believe his election denialism lies? There's no evidence of widespread election fraud.

There was like 80 court cases about election fraud brought by Trump and his supporters. They were all thrown out of court for being baseless. Some lawyers even got into trouble in some cases for bringing such frivolous ridiculous cases to court. Heck Rudy Giuliani had his law license suspended for his stupid baseless lies.

President Trumps Truth Social remarks of yesterday morning were actually a rebuke of Big Media and Big Tech collusion with the Democrat party.

I am terrified the administration in power will continue to utilize federal government agencies as its own secret police Look at the growing gulag in Washington, DC. So many of the January 6 incarcerated have not even had a trial. We've been down this road before when the previous Democrat administration attempted to utilize the IRS as a sledge hammer against every kind of conservative.

What's the word I'm looking for here? Oh, man, I just had it. Bull-something.

Trump said it. He meant it. Deflection and kicking up dust to distract doesn't change it.

I did my due diligence, which was to read the Trump post. He did attack the media and big tech. His suggested solution was to declare him the winner of the 2020 election or to rerun the election. Dissolving the rules, regulation and constitution was his specific suggestion.

I'm pleased that you're concerned about abusing government agencies. Your accusations against the Obama administration are false. You're remembering nonsense spread on right wing media falsely accusing the IRS. Here's the truth after I did your due diligence.

    quote:
In 2013, the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS), under the Obama administration, revealed that it had selected political groups applying for tax-exempt status for intensive scrutiny based on their names or political themes. This led to wide condemnation of the agency and triggered several investigations, including a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal probe ordered by United States Attorney General Eric Holder. Conservatives claimed that they were specifically targeted by the IRS, but an exhaustive report released by the Treasury Department's Inspector General in 2017 found that from 2004 to 2013, the IRS used both conservative and liberal keywords to choose targets for further scrutiny.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRS_targeting_controversy

Now Comey and McCabe both had the extremely rare very deep dive intrusive IRS edits done on them. There was some speculation that Trump had illegally had the IRS target them. However I did my due diligence and it was apparently a case of lightning striking twice. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/12/01/comey-mccabe-tax-audits-irs-fbi-watchdog-report-00071600

    some speculation....

Other than " held in contempt Eric Holder," Really, who was really held in contempt by Congress for not addressing additional matters? No action was ever taken to address the utilization of federal agencies to abuse American Citizens. It really is sickening.

A general theme on the right and by Trump especially is that poor helpless conservatives are continuously being unfairly picked on. This is one of Trump's main themes. He especially is picked on. For example, I'm amazed at the statistic that a very large majority of white conservation males believe that minorities and women are not discriminated against. They believe the true discrimination is against white males!
