I found the big thing was the difference of proof-reading vs research that made completion difficult. As the thrill of research (I spent stretches of time on remote First Nations' reserves studying Native language and storytelling customs) gave way to the tedious proof-reading. At the same time I had my first son, started my own business and did some adjunct teaching with 4 local colleges - but had a difficult time doing the editing.

It is exactly this reason I am dragging my heels in regard to the next academic challenge - I know I can start it but I am not sure if there is time to 'woodshed' and do the final proofreading.

    2) The inevitable collapse of all matter in the universe.
    3) The possibility that maybe there really is some sort of "higher power," and it actually takes notice of us. I.e. [IMG]

    my challenging conditions

    1) An insane amount of workload at times that makes it hard to finish my assignments on time.

    2) Lack of self discipline is probably the biggest reason though.

    3) girlfriend always complaining about the lack of time spent with her.

    4) friends, tv, hobbies, etc, etc.
