It is freaky, but it's also encouraging if the technology is used ethically. Recently, scientists have been able to grow live bone in a laboratory. Wouldn't it be great if one day, we could have implants and transplants made of organic material that has our very own DNA? My arthritic fingers certainly hope so. More importantly, the thousands of people on transplant waiting lists hope so. Can brain death be reversed? That's the greatest "what if..." of them all. It's probably not as far off as we think. It's why I think that, as a species, we should be all hands on deck when it comes to advancing scientific knowledge.
It's funny how much gets attributed to "god" until science gets ahold of it. The god hypothesis might not ever be disproven. But it might one day be rendered irrelevant.
